Trump didn’t hold back at all.

Following the second day of the Capitol Riot hearings, Donald Trump has said the investigation was “pitiful” and a “kangaroo court” as the line of inquiry continues to have him centrally placed as involved in the riot.

The House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot has so far been told that Trump was becoming “detached from reality” after the 2020 election cycle and was trying to find ways to stay in power.

During the hearing, it was also suggested that he was being advised by a “definitely intoxicated” Rudy Giuliani.

Trump released a 12-page rebuttal through his Save America PAC, where he said the investigations were just a “kangaroo court” used to distract the American people ahead of the midterm elections.

He also teased another possible presidential bid in 2024. In regards to the investigation, he said it was “merely an attempt to stop a man that is leading in every poll, against both Republicans and Democrats by wide margins, from running again for the presidency”.

“The Democrats know that I would correct all of this, and they are doing everything in their power to stop me – but we can’t be stopped,” he added. “We have to Save America.”

He continued blaming the Democratic party for both the high inflation rates and rising gas prices.

“Our nation is SUFFERING. Our economy is in the gutter. Inflation is rampant. Gas prices have reached an all-time high. Ships are unable to unload cargo. Families cannot get needed baby formula. We are an embarrassment around the world.” He added.

He further said the Democrats are fixating on Jan. 6 because they have no solutions to offer for the country’s current problems.

“Democrats are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, without making mention of the havoc and death caused by the Radical Left just months earlier,” he said.

“Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this disaster. They are hoping that these hearings will somehow alter their failing prospects.”
